Description Ihar Filipau 2011-08-15 08:38:00 UTC
I have configured a slightly different color scheme in "Options - LibreOffice - Appearance": black "Document background" and light gray "Font color." (Think Linux console colors.)

Yet, it seems the color of selection's background, color of selected font and color of the selection border are not customizable.

Please provide an option to customize the selection colors.

P.S. Actually, for document writing/correcting in monkey mode (aka "no brainz required"), I'd love to have a mode to override the document colors and to force use of only background and foreground colors. (Making the document essentially B/W.) Does it make sense to open a bug for such enhancement? Anybody but me interested?

Confirmed for LibreOffice 3.4 340m1(Build:103) on OpenSuse Linux. Marked as enhancement.

You mean highlighting the text with drag of caret will cause the font color and background color to be different than non highlighted background and font, right?

3.5.0b2, Windows x86, the issue is still present.

Changing status to NEW as per the spambot instructions.

Is it still present on latest stable release?
Comment 6 Ihar Filipau 2013-06-17 21:05:26 UTC
On 4.0.3.3 I have found "Selection boundaries" (do not remember it there before) but it doesn't seem to be it. So I would say the issue is still present.

This option is still unavailable in a recent build of Master:

Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: cd2b5168e8ef1cb6e721bc5220421464ed723096
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@86-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2021-07-21_14:56:23
Calc: threaded

Change the "Blocks" to a more precise meta bug.

That is "Section", not "Selection".

Perhaps worth noting here is that LO 7.2 introduces a pre-defined dark scheme.
