Problem description: Copying of image from ACD chemsketch and pasting into LIBRE office (writer, impress and calc) is not working. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Libreoffice - writer 2. Open ACD Chemsketch (a free software from ACD labs for chemical structure drawing) 3. draw some structure 4. Copy from Chemsketch and try to paste in Writer or Calc or Impress. Current behavior: Not able to paste in Libre office. Expected behavior: Should be able paste
Confirmed. It's a old OOo problem.
(In reply to comment #1) > Confirmed. It's a old OOo problem. Yes, I do reported the same problem to OOo community but before it was solved Libreoffice came. thanks
Yep, I remember this as an old bug from OOo. The problem was AFAICR with the copy buffer not accepting the list of possibilities provided by ACD, and being limited to only PNG/JPG ? Alex

Dear all, Just wanted to know whether anyone could help in fixing the problem ? Regards, Ram
[This is an automated message.] This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases. Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1 more detail on this bulk operation: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/RFC-Operation-Spamzilla-tp3607474p3607474.html
@ SGR Thanks for bugreport Please, verify if in last version of LibreOffice still reproducible
(In reply to comment #7) > @ SGR > Thanks for bugreport > Please, verify if in last version of LibreOffice still reproducible Yes, same behavior in 3.5 for me.
I confirm this bug too. Moreover, it is possible to avoid it in two steps, copying and pasting the picture from ChemSketch to a MicrosoftOffice document, followed by the same procedure from MicrosoftOffice document to LibreOffice. During the procedure, the picture keep the same possibilities as it was copied in an Microsoft document (exemple : double click on the picture in Libre Office automaticaly open ACD-CHemSketch and permit to directly modify the drawn chemical formulae without erase/copy/paste step). This procedure remains a big constraint. This observation seems to contradict the previously described problem by Alex Thurgood in september 2011 (I quote) : "The problem was AFAICR with the copy buffer not accepting the list of possibilities provided by ACD, and being limited to only PNG/JPG ?" Is anyone able to fix this bug ?

Putting "obsolete" to QA message because I tested and still repro with 6.1+.
According to Wikipedia, it's a proprietary software available only for Windows and MacOs. Since most devs are on Linux, I don't think it'll be implemented soon.
Good point by Julien. Moreover, not likely would a dev loose time to register to download ACD. So please you who have it, copy ACD clipboard in CopyQ and attach file .cpq here. So that we don't need ACD anymore. CopyQ because it's a free multiplatform tool, unlike Nirsoft etc.
