I am working on a Calc spreadsheet file (OS: Windows 7) contained in the following folder: D:\Usr\Projects\Statistical Work\Farhad\Nasofrontal Angle I tried to paste the following formula to a cell: =IF(B4<>"",VLOOKUP(B4,$'Median sorted by image-before'.$A$4:$D$67,4,0),"") Once I press <Enter> what I get is: =IF(B4<>"",VLOOKUP(B4,'file:///D:/Usr/Projects/Statistical Work/Farhad/Nasofrontal Angle/Median sorted by image-before'#$'Median sorted by image-before'.$A$4:$D$67,4,0),"") Thanks
setting the right importance
After a second look I doubt that this is a bug. with the $ sign you mark the reference as an absolute reference. Then it is correct to include the full path, could you try if this still happen when you remove the dollar sign and other wise close this bug.
