i cannot color a cell or groups of cells with fill background button or via pull-down format menu; 

colors applied during an open-office session are not visible.

had to re-install open office... :(

PS. make installing both suites side by side easier, so one can find refuge in open office w/o giving up on libre office completely.

Please, verify if in last version of LibreOffice still reproducible
(moving user profile in another place also can help)
