Description Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2011-12-01 02:09:46 UTC
Steps to reproduce with Server installation of Master "LibO-dev 3.5.0 – WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) GERMAN UI [Build ID: 130028f-b211287-090bcba-45cf606-05891e7]" Win-x86@9-Voreppe - 111130)

1. download and unzip "TestKitLinktest.zip" from
   "Bug 43383 - FILEOPEN: via Hyperlink from document does not work"
2. Start LibO from WIN - All Programs
   LibO Start Center appears
3. Menu 'File -> open -> "WithLink2.ods" - <open>'
   Spredsheet document will be opened
4. Click one of the links (with pressed <control> if necessary
   due to your security settings
   "Linktarget.ods" will be opened
5. Menu 'File -> Close' (or window close icon 'X')
   Excepted: Document will be closed, "WithLink2.ods" remains
   Actual: silent crash Crash message might appear

I also can reproduce the bug:

2. Start LibO from WIN - All Programs
   LibO Start Center appears
3. <New Document>
   Spredsheet document will be opened
4. Menu 'File -> New -> Spreadsheet>
   additional Spredsheet document will be opened
5. Window close icon 'X'
   Excepted: current document will be closed, other remains
   Actual: silent crash, Crash message might appear

If confirmed this one would be a blocker.

Following both lists of steps to reproduce given by Rainer Bielefeld:

NOT reproducible on MacOS X 10.6.8 German
with LibO-dev 3.5.0, Build ID: 82dd652-7085c55-8b4f344-a2e750f-ce71330,
built on 2011-11-21
(this is the last MacOS version available from
http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/Mac_OSX_10.6.0_gcc-4.0.1_x86/master/).

Either this bug appeared after 2011-11-21, or it does not occur on MacOS X (maybe Windows only?).
Comment 2 Roman Eisele 2011-12-01 03:25:51 UTC
Sorry, I found a newer MacOS X build too late, but the result is the same:

NOT reproducible
following both lists of steps to reproduce given by Rainer Bielefeld
on MacOS X 10.6.8 German
with LibO-dev 3.5.0
Build ID: 549f928-b211287-090bcba-45cf606,
built on 2011-12-01 (this is the last MacOS version available from
http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/MacOSX-Intel@1-built_no-moz_on_10.6.8/master/current/),
no langpack installed.

Therefore, maybe a Windows-only bug?

@Roman:
Seems so, but before I involve Tor I want to check an additional build because currently Master is terrible unstable.
Comment 4 manj_k 2011-12-01 13:02:53 UTC
Tried both lists of steps (1-5) from 'Description'.

Crash not reproducible with
LibO-dev 3.5.0 · Build ID: 2d0998f-090bcba-45cf606
(UI en-US; on WinXP 32b)
[ master~2011-12-01_08.37.54_libodev35.msi · 01-Dec-2011
http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/Win-x86@6-fast/master/ ].

That works all fine for me.
Comment 5 Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2011-12-01 21:54:37 UTC
[Reproducible] with Server installation of MSVC Master "LibO-dev 3.5.0 – WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) ENGLISH UI [Build ID:  2d0998f-090bcba-45cf606]" Win-x86@6 - 2011-12-01_08.37.54)
So I was able to reproduce with builds from both MSVC tinderboxes.

But with a fresh new user profile the bug is no longer reproducible, it seems my Master profile has been damaged. Due to this result and Comments I close this bug.
