NOT reproducible with Server installation of MSVC Master "LibO-dev 3.5.0 – WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) ENGLISH UI [Build ID: 2d0998f-090bcba-45cf606]" Win-x86@6 - 2011-12-01_08.37.54),

also not with with Server Installation of "LibreOffice 3.5.0 Beta0 - WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [Build:ef91e38-b1d4df6-090bcba-45cf606-05891e7]"

Very new effect?

still a problem in 350 beta1.
Must be related to #43869
Comment 3 Roman Eisele 2011-12-16 07:36:39 UTC
Sorry, I can not reproduce this bug with LibreOffice 3.5 beta 1, German
langpack installed, running on MacOS X 10.6.8 German. I tried some variations
of the steps given in Description, but every time the behaviour is completely
as expected: the text is pasted without any problems.

Looks like a OS related or keyboard settings related bug ... just like Bug 43824?!
Comment 4 Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2011-12-16 08:06:49 UTC
I can't reproduce the exact problem, but something similar with WRITER text:

1. Start LibO
   > Start Center appears
2. Open new WRITER document with click on "New Text Document"
3. Type a line with arbitrary text (Lorem Ipsum)
4. Select / Highlicht all text line
5. <control+c> for Copy
6. Menu 'File -> New -> WRITER document'
7. Click into new Writer document, type 50 times <enter>, then "xxx"
8. 2 times <control+Pos1> to reach top of page
9. Long click on "Paste" toolbar icon
10. select "As RTF'
Expected: arbitrary text (Lorem Ipsum) inserted into first line
    Actual: inserted behind "xxx"

I agree with Cor's suspect that this is related to or the same as "Bug 43869 - Paste special from Calc to Writer, causes last paragraph to be removed". Marking this one as DUP because more observations in Bug 43869 and that one already assigned.

@Cor:
Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you find evidence that we have an independent issue here.

To be on the safe side, I reopen this one, and will check when 43869 is fixed
Comment 6 Michael Stahl (allotropia) 2012-02-06 09:01:09 UTC
so... is it now a duplicate of 43869 or not?

the problem described in comment #4 definitely is.
Comment 7 Miklos Vajna 2012-02-06 09:23:01 UTC
I think it is definitely a duplicate.

Cor, please close this bug if it works for you as well.
