Description João Jerónimo 2011-12-04 20:19:59 UTC
It just crossed my mind that it would be interesting to allow converting tables to Calc imported OLE objects. Suppose I suddenly find that I want to calculate a cell value using a formula. With a Writer table I'm screwed, whereas with an OLE imported from Calc it's as simple as writing = plus the formula.

Possible problem: perhaps the Calc application is not installed in the system.

But my be much easy for user to copy-paste table to Calc and then again to Writer then search for functionality to doing this by one function.

However, at this time we have one small problem: formulas from Writer inserted into Calc as simple numbers.

@ João Jerónimo
May be such functionality exist among extensions for OpenOffice or LibreOffice. Please, verify.

As far as I can tell, this feature does not exist as an extension. Marking as NEW, leaving as LOW, think it will take substantial work and not benefit that many people but none the less maybe one of us can get to it at some point
