Description Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2011-12-16 05:10:37 UTC
Steps to reproduce with Parallel Dev-Installation of  "LibreOffice 3.5.0 Beta1 - WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [Build-ID: 7362ca8-b5a8e65-af86909-d471f98-61464c4] Windows_Release_Configuration  11-Dec-2011 06:51":

Proceed as per "Bug 43869 - Paste special from Calc to Writer, causes last paragraph to be removed" Comment 2 Steps 1-10

11. click 'Undo' icon several times
    Expected: Undo until empty page
    Actual: Crash after few steps
Comment 1 Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2011-12-16 05:23:54 UTC
I did some additional undo tests, but crash seemed to be limited to copy paste Calc contents as RTF.

Not a new Beta1 Problem, also reproducible with other Master builds from November and September.

Works fine with Server installation of Master "LibO-dev 3.4.5 – WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) English UI

[Reproducible] with LibreOffice 3.5.0 beta 1
Build-ID: 1ce7995-7f15fca-1f1fd1a-ca8e46d-5bcbce4
Build Date: 2011-12-13
[libreoffice-3-5~2011-12-13_04.48.06_LibO-Dev_3.5.0beta1_MacOS_x86_install_en-US]
on MacOS X 10.6.8 German.

Following the instructions given by Rainer Bielefeld in Description, after clicking Undo 2 or 3 times LibreOffice crashes.

I will attach the MacOS X log file generated on the crash; maybe it helps.

-- Changing Status to New as bug is confirmed now.
-- Changing Platform from Windows to All because the bug is also present on MacOS.

Without checked 'Tools -> Options -> General -> "Experimental Features"' neither the problem in Bug 43869 nor the crash here is reproducible.

@Roman Eisele:
Can you confirm this relation?
Comment 5 Roman Eisele 2012-03-13 00:02:53 UTC
The same for me: I can confirm "Experimental Features" influence with
LibreOffice 3.5.1.2
Build-ID: dc9775d-05ecbee-0851ad3-1586698-727bf66
German langpack installed
running on MacOS X 10.6.8 German.

Using the steps given by Rainer Bielefeld in description, I get the following
results:
-- With "Experimental Features" DISabled, clicking 'Undo' several times works as expected.
-- With "Experimental Features" ENabled, the bug is still present, including
the crash of LibO after clicking 'Undo' two or three times. NB: The log file generated by MacOS X for the crash looks exactly the same as the old one I have attached to this bug report earlier.
Comment 6 Michael Meeks 2012-12-20 12:43:00 UTC
Wow - that is odd; of course I don't have a Mac - but I wonder - is this still the case with 4.0 ? - does 'experimental'-ness toggle this ?

We've done quite some work in 4.0 around paste-special of RTF and (quite possibly) this is fixed with that new code. Thoughts ?
Comment 7 Jorendc 2013-02-12 19:33:50 UTC
Using LibreOffice 4.0.0.3 release; Mac OSX 10.8.2:

Did 3 tests with "Experimental Features" checked;
Did 3 tests with "Experimental Features" UNchecked;

Can't reproduce this (anymore).

Therefore I mark this as RESOLVED WORKSFORME. Rainer, Roman, can you confirm this isn't reproducible anymore?

I remove it from the mab3.5. If still reproducible, please place it on the mab3.6 if necessary.

Kind regards,
Joren

I only did a quick test with WIN 4.0.0.3, n crash, sounds good.

But Why do I get no crash with 5.1.0? Strange!
