KDE System Setting's screenshot, showing the dual-monitor configuration

Problem description:

I gave to myself a new HP Compaq LA1905wg monitor and, by using a proper cable, plugged its DVI input at my laptop's HDMI output. Then, I used "KDE System Settings" and made this screen configuration:

* Internal monitor, connected at port LVDS1, resolution 1366x768, positioned at coordinates (0, 672), no rotation

* External monitor, connected at port HDMI1, resolution 1440x900, positioned at coordinates (1366, 0), rotated 90 degrees anticlockwise

* Main monitor is LVDS1; second monitor is HDMI1

Since then, Libreoffice isn't drawing menus on screen correctly. It thinks I'm using a big 2266x1440 screen and then doesn't draw menus over the application window. This behavior makes Libreoffice's menus unusable for me, because I will see them in my monitor only if I reduce window's size. Please see the pictures I will attach later.

Libreoffice should draw menus over the application window when it finds enough space in screen, even if there are more space above. I also will attach a Firefox's screenshot, which shows the right behavior.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Make the dual-monitor setup I described above
2. Open Libreoffice Calc
3. Click on "File" in menubar.

Current behavior:
I can't see the "File" menu (Open, Close, Save, Save As...)

Expected behavior:
I should see the "File" menu.

Platform (if different from the browser):

Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:8.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0.1

More information: this bug may be KDE specific.

If I let Xorg detect my setup, it defines an initial screen size of 1024x768 for both monitors, positioning them to coordinates (0, 0). Then, after adjusting my display configuration through "KDE System Settings", the bug appears only when opening Libreoffice for the first time. At the second and following times, Libreoffice's menus work correctly.

If I specify my dual-monitor configuration in xorg.conf, the bug doesn't appear at all.

This looks like the same issue that was raised in bug 48168

Would you mind marking this one a duplicate (despite earlier date) to keep things centralized (that bug has a duplicate already reported)?

Ok, I will do it.
