That would help testing without disturbing currently installed version.

NB: That would also work around bug 44559 for example.

PS: I would (like to) use it for bug 43725 comment 8 for example.

I do not understand your needs. Beta2 installs in parallel without disturbing existing installation?! What exactly did you observe?

Currently I do not see need for a Beta Portable, you can reach the same goal with a parallel server installation due to <https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel>. It's a cost-benefit calculation.

I had already tried that: this is irrelevant for me because of bug 44559!!

Sure. (It simply means I can't test Betas.)
