Description jimmy 2012-01-27 04:47:58 UTC
We use graphics-heavy reports and have plenty of RAM.
It is possible to have LibreOffice to make use of this RAM to
have a smoother experience. (I cant use more than 256MB for cache now)
It's especially bad when using links.

Thanks for new idea
But it helps? For example if we change from 128 to 256 it becomes 2 times faster? Or no?

In most cases OS uses it's own cashes to increase performance. LibreOffice internal cache may help only when working by network or internet with no caching proxy (IMHO).

Marking as NEEDINFO as it's unclear if this will have any real impact on the user experience. Jimmy if you could answer Sasha's question and let us know if this would really make your experience faster (and if so, how much faster) we can go ahead and look at the pros and cons of doing this. Thanks for your patience and for helping us out.
