Description Fabio Bugnon 2012-01-27 07:25:26 UTC
Overview:
Using LO 3.5 RC 1 on a Mac OS X 10.6.8
Copying text from external source might not work depending on where you grab the text from: PDF and TextEdit doesn't work, Web is allright

Steps to reproduce:
1. Copy any text from a PDF file or from an .rtf file on TextEdit.
2. Try to paste it into an text document on LibreOffice, either using command + V, either by using right-click and choosing "Paste" from the menu

Actual Results:
No text is pasted. No crash. Actually, nothing happens.

Expected Results:
I would expect that the copied text got pasted into the LibreOffice Writer.

Build Date & Platform:
LibreOffice 3.5 RC 1
Mac OS X 10.6.8 on a MacBook Intel

Additional Builds and Platforms:
It didn't occur on LO 3.4 or 3.3 on Mac OS X.

Additional Information:
I've noticed that if you copy text from the Web, from inside LibreOffice Wirter or from an pure text (.txt) file on TextEdit, this problem doesn't occur and the text get paste without any problem, so I guess it might be related to the format/coding.
I'll be glad to help with any further info.

Sorry to add but I just found this info right now.

What actually happens is not that copy and paste doesn't work.

The problems is that, in the circumstances described above, the pasting doesn't occur -- as one should expect -- where the cursor stands, but rather in the last line of the document.
