Description Ron Johnson 2012-02-04 16:21:20 UTC
If a document is created on a machine which has an uncommon font (Parchment, for example) and is viewed on a system without that font, naturally an existing font is substituted. Silently, unfortunately.

Could there be some visual indication (maybe in the Status Bar) that font substitution has occurred? A dialog box could show what's been substituted.

Thanks

Thanks for new idea
Or in "Font" tool on "Formatting" toolbar after name of font in parentheses name of font to which it substituted.
IMHO some OS may not provide such information and substitute silently

Marking as a duplicate, already prioritized other enhancement request and confirmed it.
