Try this:

1. Create new document in LibreOffice Writer
2. Create text box - vertical one
3. Write "2008 - 2009" text inside
4. Rotate 180 deg.
5. Export to PDF.
6. Messed up :(

Ah, the bug summary is misleading. It does not crash. The problem is that the text is rotated in .pdf another way than in the .odt file.

I see the bug with LO-3.5.0-rc3 and LO-3.4.5 on SLED11-SP1.

It works well when I use horizontal box and rotate it 90 degrees.

It is an old bug. A workaround exists => it can't block the release => lowering severity.

Not reproducible on LO 4.0.4.2 (Win7 32bit)
