Does it 100% of the time on my setup :-( Mal
Hi Mal, (In reply to comment #2) > Does it 100% of the time on my setup :-\ Any change that you ask others (users list? ) for their experience, eg with KDE <> Gnome ?
Had a little play. We don't normally use Gnome ( which is basically why we use openSUSE ) Anyway with Gnome it doesn't go black it just works as per bug 34531 ( see comment 16 ) Also ...off topic .. how do you stop the primary screen getting the navigator screen it alway appears whatever Mal
(In reply to comment #4) > Also ...off topic .. how do you stop the primary screen getting the > navigator screen it alway appears whatever Was a different issue? Choosing Display1 or Display 2 does make a difference here.
Could you try to collect more expreinces (users@global.libreoffice.org e.g) ? thanks!
(In reply to comment #6) > Could you try to collect more expreinces (users@global.libreoffice.org e.g) ? had short talk with a deve on IRC - and mailed to users@ myself.
This might all be related to having SmartBoard software on the machine Whilst this isn't your average setup it's very common in schools. Even on Windows XP when you have a piece of software that tries to do clever things with the screen ( Like Sibelius ) it causes Smartboard to have problems as they all seem to fight about who owns the display Bug 34531 is the more interesting one as that bug is a show stopper. This is just a pain as it only seems to effect KDE. I hate Gnome but it works. Personally I would rather see resources fixing 34531 first and then come back to this if it came to it
@ mal Thanks for bugreport Please, change Tools->Options->LibreOffice->View->field "Use Hardware acceleration" and tell, if bug still remains
I checked quickly and this doesn't seem to happen anymore however bug 34531 does ( which is nasty ) I will experiment further and get back to you - If there is anything you want me to try just let me know best wihes Mal
Created attachment 59463 [details] LO version
Created attachment 59464 [details] After presentation
The bug as originally described doesn't happen now I have updated my openSuse 12.1 and used the LO as per attachment. So I guess you can close this one. However ... The other attachment is what happens now after you end a presentation with hardware acceleration ON With it off everything seems fine. ( other than bug 34531 still exists - which I don't know if it's related ) best wishes M
Thanks for additional testing Due to last comment, changing status to WorksForMe If problem will appear again, please, change status to Reopened (or create another because people usually dislike to read long bugreports)
