first image is anchored as character and I don't see it when I reopen it in LibreOffice or MSOffice2010

Problem description:

When you try to copy/paste an image into a new writer document and you choose for anchor type "character" the image disappears when you save the document as docx file type and reopen the image. If you extract the docx you can find the images under the directory "word". FYI: it was an picture with a file type PNG. On FOSDEM we tried to reproduce the bug and it did appear in office2007 on wine strangely.

Steps to reproduce:
1. copy an image from a browser (let's say from google images)
2. paste it into a new document and choose for anchor type "character"
3. save the document as docx
4. reopen the file with libre office or M$ office 2010

Current behavior:

pictures don't appear if you reopen the document

Expected behavior:

pictures should be visible

Platform (if different from the browser):
Browser: Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux i686; U; en) Presto/2.10.229 Version/11.61
OS: Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot)

Bookmarks are not saved. When they ar inserted all works well, hyperlinks jump to it, but when the file is saved and closed, all bookmarks in the file are lost when the file is reopened.
This happens only in the PPC (macinthos) version, not in intel version.

This bug is in all version of Libreoffice for PPC

Comment 2 has nothing to do with original report

For me with Server Installation of "LibreOffice 3.6.0.4 rc English UI/ German Locale [Build-ID: 932b512] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) the problem is very simple: Opening reporter's sample only shows "Frans van mieris" picture.

Both pictures shown with MW WORD viewer.

This problem is [Reproducible] with "LibreOffice 3.4.4 - German UI [Build ID: OOO340m1 (Build:402)]" - Ubuntu 10 (32bit) (VirtualBox)

So I hijack this Bug for my observed problem, because tester8's confirmation is very vague.

Related to or DUP of "Bug 46547 - After opening a DOCX it doesn't show embedded images, just a error marker"?

Looks fixed to me, and looks like a dupe of bug 70060 (I know, this bug is reported earlier, but there is a reference to a fix in that bug document + a sample document attached).

If you still can reproduce this behavior, tested using version 4.3.0 (download it here: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ ) , please feel free to reopen this bug.

There is still another bug related to this topic, see bug 37002 (the fact the anchoring isn't saved correctly).

Kind regards,
Joren
