It crashes on Ubuntu 11.10 x86_64 too with LO 3.5.0.

What is interesting is that it does not crash with LO 3.5.1rc0+. In fact I got an error message two times, firstly in French, secondly in English when I restarted LO with English UI. This error message was saying that there was an object for which I did not have enough right. After the second error message, I closed LO 3.5.1rc0+ and opened the bugdoc in LO 3.4.5 and saved it in ODF file format without problem. So I retried with LO 3.5.1 rc0+ and could save in ODF without problem.
I do not understand what happened. ;-)

No problem encountered when saving as ODF in master.

My version of LO 3.5.1rc0+ : LibreOffice 3.5.1rc0+ Build ID: c3f76c5-fe97bc5-f9b8d0b-f269e46-24eb504
My version of the master : LibreOffice 3.6.0alpha0+ Version ID : ab2f830-babed3d-39746e8-f0d66fd-fefd87

ODF export of bugdoc

If you look inside the archive (rename the .odp in .zip), you can see that there is several small wmf files. They are in 2 folders, ObjectReplacements (without wmf extension) and Pictures. Gimp fails to open these files.

Best regards. JBF

On pc Debian x86-64, I don't reproduce the crash with 3.5 branch or master, both updated today.
Now I noticed in both cases, these messages :
warn:legacy.tools:17403:1:/home/julien/compile-libreoffice/libo/xmloff/source/text/txtparae.cxx:816: AutoStyle could not be found
repeated 3 times

warn:legacy.osl:17403:1:/home/julien/compile-libreoffice/libo/xmloff/source/draw/shapeexport.cxx:719: XMLShapeExport::exportShape(), exception caught!
repeated 7 times

ditto - not reproducible with libreoffice-3-5 as of today on SUSE, not even running under valgrind.

The crash when saving as ppt again also occured in my installation.
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 64 bit
LibO 3.5.0 German
Comment 10 Ulrich Moser 2012-03-08 07:23:14 UTC
I just recognised that the bug did not occur with another presentation I had. The only difference I could see was speaker notes in the presentation that causes the crash, while the other had no speaker notes.

Maybe this could be a hint for reconstruction.

Ulrich
