Description Kobus 2012-02-22 04:41:32 UTC
Problem description:
When I save the document to Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP some of the text on the first page is not in the saved (.doc) version. My wife experienced this on Ubuntu 11.10 with LibreOffice 3.4.4 and I tried it on Ubuntu 11.04 with LibreOffice 3.3.4 with the same effect.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Load the attached ODF document in writer.
2. Notice the text to the right of the photograph on page 1.
3. Save the documents in Word 97/2000/XP format.
4. Open the .doc document.

Alternative steps:
1. Save the document in .doc format.
2. Open the document and edit the text to the right of the image on page 1.
3. Save the document (in .doc) format and close it.
4. Open the document.

Current behavior:
The text on page 1 to the right of the photograph is gone. I've had attempts where this didn't happen, but then the next attempt the text was lost.

Expected behavior:
The content of the document should be preserved.

Tested On Windows XP / Vista 64:

the same error occurs with LibO 3.3.4, 3.4.5, and 3.5.0
Comment 4 retired 2013-09-22 09:09:57 UTC
Still valid for latest LO 4.2 master build 2013-09-16.

When saving test document as .doc then opening with Word 2010, the text on the right side of the image on page 1 is gone.

interestingly deleting the "P" in the top left corner in the .ODT file using backspace deletes also the text below

Repro Lo 6.5+ frame lost wheb saving to .doc. (saving to .docx moves frame).
By opening in MSO verified it's filesave issue.
This is some special case, beacase frame and floating frame are exported.
No info how .odt was created, it wouldn't surprise that content was copied.
Low priority.

IIUC, MS formats cannot handle frames anchored into frames.

If I cut the text that contains text and paste it into the body text, then it round-trips fine.
