If trying to insert a picture that is taller than the page size minus the padding, Writer tries to put the picture on the next page. As there is not enough space either, the next page is tried, and so on (watchable through the pagecount on the status bar). It ultimately crashes from memory exhaustion.

Looks like a DUP of "Bug 41620 - FILESAVE: Drawing Object outside of Page Margins causes CRASH".
