Description Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2012-03-21 22:20:15 UTC
The concept of the Assisstant allows to read Help texts from the Wiki.
Currently that's only used for the Subcomponents Help.
I recommend an additional info line below the Heading ("Thank you for using LibreOffice, we regret ...) with latest news like "We know the 'no recent documents' problem, see Bug ...".
Such text can be taken from a (protected) Wiki page, what would allow quick reaction.

I do not see the benefit of this. the more text we display, the less will be read. Let's keep the process of reporting a bug as streamlined as possible.

I rather think, if anything happens here, this will be on LO's own bugzilla when coming up with a concept to replace BSA with a system that's directly on bugzilla similar to what Mozilla does here https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi#h=dupes|Firefox
