Description Andreas G. 2012-03-25 12:24:06 UTC
Problem description: If you import a SVG Image (and some gif) with a transparent background in LibreOffice Writer it has an ungly black background. It isn't just Writer, in Draw the same result.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Search for an SVG with a transparent background
2. Import it (Copy & Paste)
3. New it has a black background.

This problem exists since OOo 3.x (or earlier) and is not OS specific.

Thanks for bugreport
Import and copy-paste is completely different thing.
For importing we should use Insert->Picture->From file

During copy-paste all pictures automatically transformed to jpeg format. Obviously alpha-channel is lost. It is almost a bug.
