Created attachment 59317 [details] Test document to present broken layout
Effect is [Reproducible] with reporter's sample and "LibreOffice 3.5.2.2 German UI/Locale [Build-ID: 281b639-6baa1d3-ef66a77-d866f25-f36d45f] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit). Also LibO 3.3.0, LibO 3.4.1 OOo 3.1.1, OOo OOo 3.3, OOo 3.4 show the broken view of the table after row 12. Additionally opening and showing this document causes big processor load. So inherited from OOo. Still a problem in Master 2012-04-01 But works fine with OOo 1.1.4 Looks perfect with MS WORD VIEWER. I can't see any RTF. My suspect is that that's a .doc document from an obscure source. In the document source I find a string "Microsoft Word 97-2003 Document [...] Word.Document.8" what differs from information I am used to see in documents created with MS WORD. @Lukasz Wieczorek: Can you add information with what software that document has been created? May be you can test <https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/> for submitting bug reports? If you want to report additional problems visible in your sample, please submit additional reports (due to <http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport#General_information> item 4) with reference link to the sample document here. @Cédric: Please set Status to ASSIGNED and add yourself to "Assigned To" if you accept this Bug.

Original RTF comes from internal web portal, so I am not able to learn what component was used for its creation. I created this issue since bug 45394 concerned something different.
Created attachment 59334 [details] Original RTF file
The original file is a RTF, so added rtf_import in whiteboard and RTF in the summary. Best regards. JBF
Perhaps a duplicate of bug 47495. Indeed it seems that there is no table in the RTF bugdoc, only a complicated set of text areas. Miklos, do you agree? Best regards. JBF
I am having the same problem! I'm tested v3.5.4, v.3.5.5 and v3.6.0.4rc

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (4.4.2 or later) https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo"; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add "regression" to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=libreoffice-qa Thank you for your help! -- The LibreOffice QA Team This NEW Message was generated on: 2015-05-02
Not reproducible anymore with LibreOffice 4.4.4.0.0+ built at home under Ubuntu 15.04 x86-64. That said this method to make tables is very inefficient and senseless. Closing as WorksForMe. Best regards. JBF
You would be amazed what crap is being put into documents by people and software in bureaucratic mess of governments and corporations. Sorry for late reply, opening the test document in LO 4.4.2.2 (on Debian Sid) results in several minutes long high CPU activity and hanged GUI. If it is not observed in later versions, then never mind.
