1) Open https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=60330
2) Open the 2 .xls(x) files
3) Compare them

Should: Be the same
Is: Not ;)

LibreOffice 3.5.2.2 @ Win 7 x64 Sp1

PS: I don't know whether "fileopen" is right or not

I put a Calc filter expert in CC...

@ a Ubuntu 12.04 with LibO 3.4.6 there are different problems, but it has not been working there.

This bug was already fixed with LibreOffice 5.3
