Description 2 Caminos 2012-05-05 08:21:48 UTC
Problem description:

Steps to reproduce:
1. ....
2. ....
3. ....

Current behavior:In the menu help - Acreditation of libreoffice

Expected behavior:Pressing clik, it is expected that the explanatory document is open, but however, at that very moment the whole application closes losing even what you have written. As cierrta is this loss that I re-open openoffice document recovery features.

Platform (if different from the browser): Linux Mint 12

Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/12.0

Openoffice?

I do not understand how to reproduce the problem, have no "Acreditation" item in Help menu.

@2 Caminos:
Thank you for your report – unfortunately important information is missing.
May be hints on <http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport> will help you to find out what information will be useful to reproduce your problem? If you believe that that is really sophisticated please as for Help on a user mailing list
Please:
- Write a meaningful Summary describing exactly what the problem is
- Attach screenshots with comments if you believe that that might explain the
problem better than a text comment. Best way is to insert your screenshots
into a DRAW document and to add comments that explain what you want to show
- Contribute a step by step instruction containing every key press and every
mouse click how to reproduce your problem (due to example in Bug 43431)
- add information
   -- concerning your PC
-- concerning your OS (Version, Language)
-- concerning your LibO version (with Build ID if it's not a public release)
and localization (UI language, Locale setting)
–- Libo settings that might be related to your problems
-- how you launch LibO and how you opened the sample document
–- If you can contribute an OOo Issue that might be useful
-- everything else crossing your mind after you read linked texts

Even if you can not provide all demanded information, every little new information might bring the breakthrough.

Reporter told me by mail that it's a problem with the "Credits" document.
Here a summary of his clarifications:
1.- Open or create a document either.
2.- Activate the Help menu and select /LibreOffice Credits/
3.- At that point is hard to see a bit of paper to remove from memory after the application.
4.- If I open again the "writer" of OpenOffice, I get the Recovery dialog.

NOT reproducible with "LibreOffice 3.5.3.2 (RC2) German UI/Locale [Build-ID: 235ab8a-3802056-4a8fed3-2d66ea8-e241b80] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit). Linux (Linux Mint 12) only?

I will attach reporter's crash report.

We had an other Crash problem with that document in "Bug 35528 - Crash when showing credits and resizing page with slide".

I don't reproduce this on pc Debian x86-64, with 3.5 branch updated today (so not exactly 3.5.3) and master branch (future 3.6).
However, I noticed this on console :
warn:legacy.tools:16773:1:/home/julien/compile-libreoffice/libo_3_5/vcl/inc/svdata.hxx:439: object deleted while in use in both case!

Could you try to follow the advice of this link to have a useful backtrace :
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport#How_to_get_backtrace_.28on_Linux.29
(the reporter's crash report is quite weird, it's just some network logs).

Crash or simple close? I can reproduce close when I open the document from LibO Start Center, but not when I open it from an other document.

DUP of "Bug 30920 - Closing Credits or License (WRITER-) document closes LibreOffice" for now.

@reporter:
Please feel free to reopen this bug if you find out that the problem still exists with LibreOffice version after Fix for Bug 30920
