It would be great if the Insert cross-reference dialogue Selection field would contain also content of reference text following to the caption number (caption of table or chart or other object) like in case of numbered paragraphs. It would make much easier editing of large documents with tens of tables with references in different pages.

Andras Timar committed a patch related to this issue. It has been pushed to "libreoffice-3-5": http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=7f7dec9b42d347e06b71f81f1e18cbe881e16927&g=libreoffice-3-5 fdo#50144 put full reference text to selection field It will be available in LibreOffice 3.5.5.
I can confirm that this improvement, having first inquiries already in StarOffice 5.x, is finally implemented! It is excellent improvement in usability. From the versions 3.5.5 and 3.6 Libreoffice will be more advanced than Microsoft office in functionality of captions and cross-references, because there is default option to have caption identifier after number and now it is also possible to see the caption text in the cross-reference dialogue. Thanks for this great improvement!
I can confirm that it is fixed in LibreOffice 3.5.5.1 Build ID: c9944f7-48b7ff5-0507789-54a4c8a-8b242a8 Thanks for great job!
