Description Alvaro Vivanco 2012-06-04 08:23:26 UTC
When you double-click on a .odt or .odf file to open it, Libreoffice hangs on and freezes on the beggining screen of the software.
The only solution is to force quit and execute it again. In other cases, it does not hang, it simply quits.
When you restart the software it does not happen again, that makes me suspect of the "quick start" of the application.

When you try to download a Libreoffice document from a website or an e-mail, choosing the option "open directly" instead of "save as", the application freezes.
The freezing does not happen if the file is downloaded to the hard-disk and then opened. It seems that the problem is in the velocity of the download process of the aplication.

System; Ubuntu 10.04.

a) 1* laptop 2 years old with 1 mb RAM, 2.2 hz, Nvidia video card
(512 mb).

b) 1 Olidata notebook with 1 mb RAM, aparently with Nvidia video card
(256 mb) with 5 years old.

Tested on multiple machines and can't reproduce this. Marking as WFM.

Version 3.6.3.2 on Bodhi Linux

If this is still a problem on latest stable release (please test against 3.6 branch) please reopen as UNCONFIRMED.

Also if it's still a problem try backing up your config folder, deleting the config folder and starting with a fresh configuration for LibreOffice.

Thanks for reporting!
