Created attachment 62666 [details] Example file to demonstrate Word Count counting comments The Word Count window counts comments as one-character words (this also means that comments separate words, just like " " does). Expected: comments should not be counted at all and should not separate words. How to reproduce: 1 Start a new Writer document 2 Go to Insert > Comment to add a new comment 3 Go to Tools > Word Count Observe that the Word Count window now shows the following: Whole document ------ Words: 1 Characters: 1 Characters excluding spaces: 1 Even though there only is a comment in the window. (The example attached also demonstrates that the line ending is _not_ counted, since it contains two comments + one legitimate character which Word Count shows as 3 words/3 characters.) Reproducible with: * LibreOffice 3.5.4, x86-64, Linux * LibreOffice 3.6 a1+, x86-64, Linux
Confirmed with: LO 3.5.4.2 Build ID: own W7 debug build Windows 7 Professional SP
