AutoText is one of LibreOffice's great hidden features, but usability is awful. One simple improvement to usability could be to provide a visual control (e.g. zoom slider) to the preview window of the AutoText feature. Furthermore, scroll-bars are also missing in the preview window. This would greatly improve usability. The features are already there, but almost not accessible. Please try: * Open an empty writer document * Choose Edit->AutoText * Select any AutoText in the list of available AutoTexts and click on "Show preview". On first hand it looks like that zoom and scrolling is not possible, but in fact, if you click with the right mouse click into the preview window, you see the options for scrolling "Upwards"/"Downwards" and "Zoom". The feature is there, but usability is simply terrible. Please add a visual control for zooming and scroll bars. Thanks I suggest this to be an EasyHack. Could you please cross-check? P.S. Thank you for your report! Confirmed: This is a valid and very reasonable enhancement request. The (bad) current state of affairs is REPRODUCIBLE with LibreOffice 3.6.2.2 on Mac OS X (Intel). Improved the Summary field a bit (I hope). Added link to AOO bug report (thanks for that!) to the “See also” field, as usual.
