You Need a My Bugs button and a Sign Off button
Comment 1 David Tardon 2012-06-10 21:55:00 UTC
What does "My Bugs button" (whatever it should do) have to do with spreadsheet?
Comment 2 Kim 2012-06-10 23:25:35 UTC
I am talking about the web side UI . At the moment it is not possible to go to a list of one's bugs submitted - it needs direct access to that facility on Bugzilla from the web side UI provided . This allows the submitter to track their bugs - to refer to them - and to provide additional information . It's basic Bugzilla operation but it is currently not available web side .

What "web side UI"? Do you mean the bug submission assistant (I see this bug was reported through it)?

Also, please, try to provide some context when reporting a bug. Do not assume that just because you know what are you talking about, everyone knows. It only causes confusion.

How else is it supposed to be reported ? - this is the default 'context' - it's what the people who are using it use - they are accessing the bugzilla from outside the bugzilla environment - via the Libre Office web side log on .

Don't assume that just because you are operating within the Bugzilla environment that everyone else is - when they are , in fact , accessing it from outside .

And don't assume that they are using the same terminology that you are using .

Otherwise they will say "why bother ?" and not bother and that would be a pity .

The alternate would be to set up a feedback page a la FireFox .

I think, if a bug is reported on 'Spreadsheet' component, it is not wrong to assume the reporter sees a problem in Calc. _Unless_ something in the report says otherwise.

Anyway, I do not care about bug reports for BSA...
Comment 6 Kim 2012-06-11 04:45:25 UTC
Because the system would not allow any other way - ie. a general way - to input the information . It is assuming 'little boxes' - life is not like that .

I think the "Sign off" button request is a DUP of "Bug 41627 - BUGZILLAASSISTANT: No possibility to log out". I reduce this bug to that problem

"My Bugs" can be found easily on the Bugzilla page you can reach after you reported a bug. The BSA is mainly for newcomers who do not have (many) "My bugs", so currently I can't see evidence for that request.

@Kim:
Only one issue per report!

Your reports are much too imprecise, please follow my advice in Bug 58888!
Please feel free to submit a new report for the "My Bugs" request if you can contribute evidence why the link in Bugzilla is not sufficient.
