Screen shot of the cell formatting dialogue box.

Problem description: Date formatting dialogue box does not work properly when trying to convert a cell from one format to another.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Type a date in a blank cell. E.g. Monday, 25 June 2012
2. Select the same cell, select menu item Format/Cell
3. In the Format Cells dialogue select category Date and Format to Fri 31 Dec 99. Click OK.

Current behavior: The Format code line at the bottom of the box changes accordingly but the preview in the box on the right remains the same. Format of the cell remains unaltered.

Expected behavior: The preview example should change to the newly selected format and the cell's format should change.

Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_8) AppleWebKit/534.57.2 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1.7 Safari/534.57.2

I don't think this is a bug, at least not with the cell formatting dialog

This works perfectly fine if you change a cell that is recognised by LibreOffice as a date, the cell formatting dialog show the preview on your specific date

If the cell is not recognised as a date type, it will of course not work

Monday, 25 June 2012 is not recognized, but would have to be typed as Monday, June 25, 2012 - Hence resolving as not a bug
