Created attachment 63960 [details] zero values in print LibreOffice Calc has a very good function. In "Options-> LibreOffice Calc-> View-> Zero Values" that can be set or not display zero values. This is very useful in large spreadsheets, where the occurrence of many zeros has to leave the reading of the sheet a little more confusing. When not on the screen prints zeros, reading the sheet is made more pleasant and even avoid reading errors. However, in requesting the printing sheet in a printer system, the zeros are printed. It would be interesting to implement the same option "View-> Zero Values" also in "Options-> LibreOffice Calc-> Print."
I'm going to attempt this one, it could take awhile but we'll see what I can come up with
Actually, there has not option to be added, since it is already there. Follow Format->Page, Sheet tab I found the answer here: http://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Sheet (since I was looking for such an option) Lucky you ;) probably nothing to fix here!

Awesome. Marking as INVALID since you already found a solution. This was on my long list of things to do so I'm glad you found something
But ... next time you open Libre Calc the tick box (Zero Values) is ticked again. you need to be able to save it as a default setting. everytime you print a spread sheet, you have to go into format, page zero values and uncheck the box.
Edited title to reflect new issue. It is now a minor bug not an enhancement. These settings should be saved :) Thanks for the update
I thank all the dedication :)
Some code pointers here? I believe this is not SO difficult...? Thanks since now!
(In reply to comment #0) > It would be interesting to implement the same option "View-> Zero Values" > also in "Options-> LibreOffice Calc-> Print." Hi, IMO this issue is invalid. Or at least not necessary. Printing options for spreadsheets are set in the page styles: Format > Page ... tab Sheet (See F11 for more page styles and Help for how to work with them,) Among printing zero values, there are some other usefull settings... Opinions?
and if an issue: we talk about inherrited wise behaviour from OpenOffice.org, that may be enhanced with options during printing... So setting Version and Importance accordingly.
Hi, Sorry for not reading all comments before posting ... (In reply to comment #5) > But ... next time you open Libre Calc the tick box (Zero Values) is ticked > again. > you need to be able to save it as a default setting. everytime you print a > spread sheet, you have to go into format, page zero values and uncheck the > box. Then you have to change the template or the default template. (See my previous comment pointing to templates.)
Oh - interesting; that setting is not persisted to the config - it is persisted to the file AFAICS; so - you want some way to edit the default value of that for new files ? clive - what kind of sheets are you printing ? if you save as ODS this setting should be persisted (seems to be for me). Otherwise I guess we should get some ux-advice on this (if any is forthcoming) - as to what to do wrt. the default there. There is plenty of space on the tools->options->calc->printing page - but adding just this one default option there might be a bit odd. git grep RID_SCPAGE_PRINT for that page; and/or just git grep for semi-unique strings you see in a dialog to find the code for that dialog ...
I love proper summaries, so tried my best for this one ;-)
Should be NEW - reopened is only appropriate when there is a developer assigned :)
hahha which of course I was assigned - but really just not time. Hope someone else picks it up
