impress slide with predefined background (use it to find reproduce the bug)

I am using libre office on 2 different machines;

on one of these machines using the hardware acceleration slows down the machine (found especially using impress)

1) HP 2510P (2 GB RAM; 1,2 MHz dual core; Ubuntu 10.04): hardware acceleration works fine

2) IBM T43 Thinkpad (1,5 GB RAM; 1,73 MHz single core; Ubuntu 10.04): without hardware acceleration everything is o.k. (but not very fast); with hardware acceleration programs like libre office impress become very slow;

you can make the bug visible as follows: open impress; make a new presentation; open the slide master and add one of the predefined backgrounds (this will slow down the slide show!); add a few slides to the presentation (some text, some pcictures) and start it. In presentation mode changing from one slide to the other one is slow motion when hardware acceleration is enabled; without hardware acceleration it is acceptable on IBM T43.

Bug in hardware acceleration?

I have a similar problem. If I add the attached background picture to the presentation master, editing presentation becomes very slow. Switching off HW acceleration and increasing graphical memory in options has almost mo effect. Deleting the background picture from master, brings the things back to normal.

I am using Samsung NP530U4B with OpenSuse 12.1 and LO 3.6.1.2.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (4.3.5 or later): https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case)

Thank you for your help!

slide master in impress 4.2.7.2 are different from the ones in 3.6.1.2
May be that the slide masters in 3.6.1.2 were the root cause for the bug reported.
