How can reporter know that it's not a FILEOPEN problem? I am pretty sure that this one is a DUP of "Bug 54862 - FILEOPEN, TABLES: Merged table cells from .doc file appear split in Writer (regression)"

Please feel free to reopen this Bug if you find evidence that we have an independent issue here, for example because you can prove that it's a FILESAVE problem. If you do so we need additional information due to <http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport>, especially a zipped test kit with your source.odt and result.doc.
