Description Ananda 2012-08-10 10:38:52 UTC
Problem description:
When we draw the rectangle rounded shape and hatch it and then we export it to a pdf, the hatchings are spilled out of the rectangle in pdf file.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Draw a rectangle rounded.
2. Fill it with hatching.
3. Save and export it to a pdf.

Current behavior:
The hatchings are spilling out of their boundaries.
Expected behavior:
The hatchings should remain inside the boundaries
Platform (if different from the browser):
Ubuntu - 11.10
Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1

Also happens when exporting to png and other formats. Attaching example documents.
- The odg shows what I drew
- The png shows what is exported

Tested with LibO 3.6.0.2 under Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit.
(Version 3.6.0.2 (Build ID: 360m1(Build:102)))
Comment 5 Joel Madero 2012-10-19 17:12:12 UTC
Confirmed.

LibO - 3.6.1.2

Marking as NEW, prioritizing

Normal: Prevents users from making high quality work in some cases. For users trying to send documents to non LibO users by exporting PDF, this bug would make their work unprofessional.

Lowest: Not a high number of users would see this bug, only happens in a very specific scenario.

Thanks for reporting!

I can't reproduce that on LO 4.0.4.2 (Win7 32bit)

Linux only?

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (4.4.1 or later)
    https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System

Please DO NOT

    Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3)

http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo";
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add "regression" to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=libreoffice-qa

Thank you for your help!

PDF export with LibreOffice 4.4.3.0.0+ under Ubuntu

Not reproducible anymore with LibreOffice 4.4.3.0.0+ built at home under Ubuntu 14.10 x86-64.

Closing as WorksForMe. Please, feel free to reopen if you still encounter the same issue with one of the current stable versions or the master.

Best regards. JBF
