Changing to OSX for moment, as no one else on other platforms seems to be reporting a problem.

@Roman : I haven't tested 3.6.0.4 with a French language pack, did you notice any problems with your German one ?

No, I didn’t; no problems installing the German language pack with LibO 3.6.0.4 (nor with 3.6.1.1) on MacOS X 10.6.8 (Intel).

So we need to test with the Spanish language pack ...

@locotux:
Thank you very much for your bug report!
Please answer two important questions:
1) Which kind of Mac do you use -- an old (PowerPC, PPC based) one,
   or a new (Intel, x86 based) one?
2) And which version of MacOS X do you use (10.4, 10.5, 10.6, 10.7, or 10.8)?

Earlier reports about problems with langpack installation on MacOS X:
* Bug 33682 - MacOS(X) langpack_zh-TW install failed (Chinese and Portuguese)
* Bug 35717 - Error installing Estonian language pack (Esthonian)
* Bug 36712 - problem when installing Spanish (Spanish)
* Bug 43392 - Problem with installation of langage pack (French)
* Bug 45621 - Corrupted characters in langpack installers under Mac OS X PPC

Maybe we could mark some of these reports as duplicates, but most (all?) of them are not reproducible (easily) ...

And most were with PPC machines, if I remember correctly.

The feeling I got from previous discussions with devs on this issues was that the pack could be manually installed from the command line, so it was not a really problematic issue in the end. Of course, if there are so few PPC users out there, it makes it hard for us in QA to try and move this forward.

Exactly.

That’s it. Besides my Intel-based MacBook Pro, I still own a PPC machine, but it’s too old for LibreOffice (runs well only with MacOS X 10.3.x) ... ;-(

Hint:
Just tried installing LibreOffice 3.6.1.2 (pre-release) with the Spanish language pack on my machine with MacOS X 10.6.8 (Intel) -- no problems, just like with the German language pack ...

So really a PPC problem?! Or there is something else ...

More likely a DUP of 43392
