Description th 2012-08-26 12:33:13 UTC
unable to change default page style - spacing to content

steps:
1. open LO spreadsheet
2. click F11 / page styles (right icon) / default right click "modify"
3. change spacing to content to whatever value greater 0 and clock OK.
4. close styles and formatting and open again with F11 - spacing to content value set to "0" again, no change -

Should be: value entered in step 3

Hi Tom,

thanks for the clear report.
Looking at what you mean with:

Is that the spacing on the tab Header and Footer?
I do not see any other place like that in Format > Page.

that is meant to be the spacing on tab "borders"; there at the very right you can find "spacing to contents" hope that helps. regards tom

Hi Tom,

The same in 3.5.7 and 4.0.0
However, I see that when I first actually set a border... the spacing indeed is set.
Can you pls check if that is clear from the Help ?
thanks,

Hi,
it's crystal clear except for this part of the phrase "for border not set..." - what's the meaning?

I can confirm the problem (if no border is set) in
Version 4.0.0.0.beta2 (Build ID: 4104d660979c57e1160b5135634f732918460a0)
on Ubuntu 12.04 (x86)

I mean that the spacing to content you can set, will be saved in case that you also select a border

IMO this is not a bug but an enhancement.

Help could be extended: "spacing can only be set if a border is applied."

Behaves the same in Writer and Calc > component: Framework
