Problem description: 

I see problems related to image captions:

* You cannot edit them WYSIWYG, which means one cannot apply formatting, such as styling a link.

* How do you edit an image caption after you've pressed ok? Using "Caption..." in the context menu brings up an empty dialog.

* As a consequence, foot notes cannot be used in an image caption. That could be considered poor editing style, but I don't think the software should constrain that.
