Description liam.kirsh 2012-08-29 09:06:44 UTC
Problem description: I updated Libreoffice to 3.6 and when I try to start it, I get two consecutive error messages. The first reads:

Unhandled exception:
file:///[my Application Data folder]/LibreOffice/3/user/extensions/bundled/registry/com.sun.star.comp.deployment.component.PackageRegistryBackend/Windows_x86_.rdb: duplicate <implementation name="com.sun.star.comp.documents.DrawPDFImport">

This occurs even after removing the PDF Import extension. After pressing OK, I receive another error message:

Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\LibreOffice 3.6\program\soffice.bin

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

LibreOffice then fails to start.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Update Libreoffice from 3.5.* to 3.6.*
2. Run LibreOffice.

Current behavior: Crashes

Expected behavior: LibreOffice should run normally.

This is due to the same underlying problem as bug 53006. See "Various problems
with bundled extensions" at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/index.php?title=ReleaseNotes/3.6#Most_annoying_bugs for a workaround.
