Hello

We need more details to try to reproduce the bug.

The problem is there for all spreadsheets or one in particular?
That contains (the) cells concerned?
Have you tried to reset your user profile cf. http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile

Pierre-Yves

Windows xp sp3
I don't know if it could have some relation, I have installed
LibreOffice to replace a previous installation of OpenOffice 3 which
didn't even open.

For all spreadsheets even empty ones, but it ceased temporarily after
a repair-installation. I haven't yet tried
deinstallation-reinstallation.

No, but I haven't really used it other than opening some files which
crashed and I was offered the recovery feature.

(I'll try it anyway)
This has solved the problem of OpenOffice not opening at all ( :)) but
as of LibreOffice nothing has changed (I have uninstalled LibreOffice
5, deleted LibreOffice user profile, Installed LibreOffice 6, oppened
a new calc document; with all cells being blank clicking format cells
either from menu or from context menu sends LibreOffice to crash.)

I can confirm this on my own daily build from master and OSX 10.8.2 when attempting to right mouse button click Format cells as Date.

Had the exact same Problem after upgrading icu from 50.1-2 to 50.1.1 - downgrading fixed it for now, not sure if it's a libreoffice or icu Problem.

Comment 9 Julien Nabet 2013-01-22 20:59:01 UTC
dimidrak3: could you give a try to last Lo version (3.6.4)?
jolkepop.mercana: on which env are you and with which LO version? I know there are compatibility problems with icu but I don't have the details in mind.
Comment 10 dimidrak3 2013-01-23 16:53:03 UTC
I have already installed v3.6.4 and now it looks like fixed. No
apparent problems now.
I don't remember the version number but it was the latest version at
the time of the initial bug report.
I had tried it in Windows xp professional greek, if I remember well I
tried it in Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit English as well with the same
(buggy) behaviour. (remember refers to tried)

I add here to the bug description that crash was happening also from
menu-format-format cells.
