File to demonstrate is attached reproduce: 1. create empty spreadsheet 2. add text to first-row cells 3. set first row as header (menu WINDOW / FREEZE) 4. insert comment in first row cell 5. hover over comment cell or show comment with right clic 6. the freeze line (my wording) is visible in the comment text, which should not be in my view. at least in MS Excel it is not, for good reason.
I can confirm this behavior in Version 4.0.0.0.beta2 (Build ID: 4104d660979c57e1160b5135634f732918460a0) on Ubuntu 12.04 (x86)
I can confirm bug in LibreOffice 4.0.2.2. I have never seen any version on Windows, Linux or Mac OS X where this doesn't happen.
reproducible with LO 3.6.6.2 (Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS)
Confirmed 4.1.4.2 Linux
ubuntu 14.04 LibreOffice 3.3 (inherited from OOo) Updating version as version is oldest version confirmed on. Also changing priority: Trivial - visual only, no impact at all on ability to create professional quality work. Lowest - been around forever, a single reporter, no dupes, not affecting many people at all. Thanks for your patience.

Hi, when View -> Freeze Rows and Columns, trying to edit comments has strange highlighting and at first doesn't react to arrow keys. I am also unable to increase the comment window size using the mouse. I have been experiencing this as far back as I can remember, but I don't use comments that much, so I am reporting it now. The original sample file demonstrates these problems. Thanks!
