Description cyrille grosdemange 2012-09-28 17:33:19 UTC
Hover the mouse on the blue dotted line of a page break and the menu pops up.
If you click the menu entry, the page break dialog box opens ... but doesn't if an image is selected

1- Insert a manual page break in your document
2- Insert an image
3- Try to open the edit page break dialog box with the menu on the blue dotted line (blue button)

Expected :
The dialog opens

Current :
Dialog dosn't open

reproduced with :
3.5 and 3.6 versions of LibreOffice - Linux x86, amd64 & Windows XP SP3

CORRECTION :

The menu with mouse hover on the blue line should be disabled when an object is selected.
As a manual page break is a property of a paragraph, when an image, diagram or other object is selected, we should not be able to edit the property of a paragraph (as a manual page break)

Hello Cyrille, *,
I can confirm this bug with LO Version: 4.1.0.1 Build ID: 1b3956717a60d6ac35b133d7b0a0f5eb55e9155 under Debian Testing AMD64 ... :(

Would you be so kind to change the version field of this bug adequate to the first version, where you discovered it, please?

Sorry for the inconvenience
Thomas.

Not reproducible for me with versions 4.1.5 and 4.2.3.0.0+ (dev. version) under Linux / Ubuntu 13.10 x86-64.
In 4.1.5 it works if the image is not selected.

Best regards. JBF

Adjusted summary again. Delete page break works, when an image is selected, so the whole menu should not be disabled, only the editing part should be greyed out.

In current master (version 6.2.0.0.alpha0+) the entry "Edit page break" of dropdown menu attached to the page break seems not visually deactivated but does nothing (no edit page opened) if an image is selected. Once the image is deselected, the entry menu works again.

So closing as WorksForMe. Please feel free to reopen if you disagree.
