Writer file with custom style that shows the problem

Steps to reproduce:

select some cells in an .ods file
copy
open attached writer file
paste special RTF (into a cell of the writer table)

Expected result:
Cells are pasted, page style unmodified
Actual result:
Cells are pasted, page style reverts to default, undo does not revert to used page style.
Sometimes I have observed loss of the custom page style (which is a big problem for me). However, I can not reproduce this reliably.

Thank you very much for your bug report!

An important question: Do you have checked the option “Enable experimental (unstable) features” in Options > LibreOffice > General? (This could explain that behaviour!)
Comment 2 Nikos 2012-10-13 14:59:14 UTC
Indeed I have. I just checked on my OpenSuse 12.2 64bit 3.6.2.2 (installed from the Document foundation rpms) and unticking experimental features solves the problem...I have no windows pc at home to see if this would solve the problem there too, but I guess you know it would...so this probably does not qualify as a bug...

Thank you very much for your fast answer!

> so this probably does not qualify as a bug...
Well, it *is* some kind of bug ;-) If you check “Enable experimental (unstable) features”, this option activates -- besides many other things -- the usage of the new RTF parser for pasting text; and while the new RTF parser works now, under most circumstances, better than the old one, pasting text with it is a still unfinished feature, therefore strange things happen, like these :-(

This problem is known as bug 43869, therefore I mark the present report as a duplicate of the latter.

Thank you!
