Description Emir Sarı 2012-10-25 03:05:32 UTC
Hello,

Since OS X 10.5, Help menu allows users to search the help contents directly from the menu bar. This is not possible in LibreOffice.

This would be a really time-saving addition to Mac OS X version of LO.

Thank you very much for your enhancement request!

However, do you mean the feature visible in attachment 54508 [details]?

Then the good news are: this feature is already present in LibreOffice!

The bad news are: it does not work in many localizations; i.e., the special menu Search item is visible when you set the UI language of LibreOffice to US English (in LibreOffice Preferences > Language Settings > Languages > Language of ... User Interface), but not when you set the UI language e.g. to German :-(

If you mean this feature, you can mark your request as a duplicate of bug 43894, which is exactly about that problem.

I hope the duplicate will lead some attention to bug 43894, so that it will get fixed some day ...

Thank you very much!

Oh, I see.

I never use LO with English localization, therefore never realized that it works there. I use LO with Turkish localization.

Then it would be better to continue from the other bug thread obviously.

Thanks.
