If I want to edit a formula, press [Enter] to enter the edit bar, or aka. input line box, and type the end of the formula before the beginning, it alters my double-quote into a slanting double-quote, which breaks the formula with a non-valid character. To duplicate: enter into cell A1= 10.91 Decide to edit the number, press [Enter] to begin editing. Cursor at end, so type a word of text followed by a the double-quote [Shift]-' " Press [Home] to edit the beginning, adding two characters =" Press [Enter] to accept, error dialog pops up: LibreOffice Calc found an error in the formula, do I wish to accept it's changes? If I press Yes, it becomes ="10.91 only”" If I press No, it becomes #NAME? ="10.91 only” Suggested fix, typing before the double-quote should not convert it to a slanted double-quote. Looking in AutoCorrect, Localized options, I did have the double quote box checked. It still shouldn't apply to editing in a formula bar.
still reproducible with LibO 4.3.2.2 under Win7x64 anyway next time do not set status NEW to your own bugs if they have not been reproduced by another user. an independent confirmation is always needed to obtain that status.
Updated my primary system with LibreOffice_4.4.2_Linux_x86_deb.tar.gz and checked this bug, I find it works now. Thank you.
