On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today (commit 9f417544f83fb5645abd7b74382bede2246c73b8), I don't reproduce the crash.
Notice these logs however:
warn:legacy.tools:24162:1:/home/julien/compile-libreoffice/libo/forms/source/component/FormComponent.cxx:2206: OBoundControlModel::impl_connectDatabaseColumn_noNotify: the form is just *loaded*, but we already have a field!

type: com.sun.star.container.NoSuchElementException

warn:legacy.osl:24162:1:/home/julien/compile-libreoffice/libo/unotools/source/config/configitem.cxx:61: Exception from PutProperties: configmgr inappropriate property value

Did you try to rename your LO directory profile (see http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile, notice that logically LO is in "4" instead of "3" directory)

Could you give your Java version?

Nikolaj: just to be sure it's not a dup of fdo#48775 (see "See also"), has Base been installed?
Comment 3 geomorillo 2013-02-11 02:23:44 UTC
This also happens with a new created database

Comment 5 Julien Nabet 2013-02-18 22:38:48 UTC
geomorillo: what's the type of database (hsqldb, mysql, ...)?
What's your Java version?

NOT reproducible with parallel Dev-installation of "Version 4.1.0.0.alpha0+ (Build ID: 049ce78144650d92eb6bd73292868f73d37c901) TinderBox: Win-x86@6, Branch:master, Pull Time: 2013-03-29_23:59:42" ENGLISH UI / German Locale on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) with LODev/4 Masters User Profile: <f4>, then clicked Biblio in Databases explorer

But may be I misunderstood? Original report also tells " from Tools menu" (what has nothing to do with Writer ...), so this might be a DUP of "Bug 62478 - CRASH when FILEOPEN Tools - Options - Base - Databases"?

Marking as DUP due to my suspect and lacking answer of reporter.
