My own debug build of commit 7061f72159e38e76134bc7fefc8a75cd233889cf Date: Sat Dec 8 00:00:49 2012 -0500 In writer, I open a document. I open the print dialog. Instead of seeing all my CUPS queues, I see only "Generic Printer". This problem is not new, I've been having it for ages (I think since 3.4.x). The second print job (or after restarting LibreOffice) usually has my print queues listed OK. Now, with 4.0.0.alpha, I get a crash (from a failed assertion) when opening the print dialog again (for the second time). Trying to reproduce a second time doesn't work, probably because now my print queues are showing alright. I didn't get a core file, only the "LibreOffice has crashed" dialog.
I sometimes (but not always) get the warning warn:legacy.tools:29306:1:/home/master/src/libreoffice/workdirs/libreoffice-4.0/vcl/unx/generic/printer/printerinfomanager.cxx:648: Do not ask for info about nonexistent printers without a crash. My hunch was that it was linked to the failed assertion, but now I see not necessarily.
@Lionel - can we mark this as NEW and get it out of UNCONFIRMED status? We were discussing UNCONFIRMED bugs in the IRC room and unless you want independent confirmation of the bug, we can just move it straight to NEW. Thanks!
