Created attachment 71341 [details] example file to reproduce bug Version 3.6.2.2 (Build ID: 360m1(Build:2)) 1. Open the file "start.csv" in LibreOffice Calc 2. Change anything in the file (e.g. a column width) 3. Press the "Save" button 4. Re-open the file in LibreOffice Calc The "importloc" column is now split into two columns. The split occurred where the comma was formerly. This is a most unexpected and annoying behavior that results in some data loss.
I can confirm that this bug exists in 4.0 beta 2 on windows XP. The problem seems to be that on selecting save it does not provide the option to change the filter settings (which it does allow via file -> save as). Workaround: use 'file -> save as' and select 'edit filter settings'. The edit filter settings dialogue has an option quote all text which resolves the problem. Suggested solution: when saving a csv libreoffice should automatically quote text if that was the case in the file loaded.
I still can reproduce on LO 4.0.4.2 (Win7 32bit). Set Platform: All
I tried to reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 14 LTS, but unsuccessful. I am not able to reproduce the issue on Ubuntu. Following is the LO version. Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 1dc47816ac137d9bd5ce2070fdec1ddebebcbbd3
