Description Hermann Mucke 2013-01-05 08:09:49 UTC
Created attachment 72529 [details]
Downloaded application form from the European Medicines Agency

The appended file, 01_Eudralink_Application_Form_110620.doc can be edited (i.e.: filled in) w/o a hitch in MS Word 2003, but Writer opens it as read-only and demands a password when editing is attempted. Copying the text into a new Writer file makes it editable but destroys pulldown menus in the line "Company Position".

Confirmed with:
LO 4.1.0.0.beta2
Build ID: 33224f4f11a05cfad2249e812fcc2975fbb61f6
Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit

File is opened as read-only. Editable in Word 2010.

Reconfirmed with Writer 4.1.3.2 (Build 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a) and MS Word 2013 - nothing has changed.

I opened the attached document and it says it is read-only. The fields, however, are editable. Adding a space and deleting it in a field and then saving and reopening document gets rid of the read-only. At no point was a password required.

Version: 4.4.2.2
Build ID: c4c7d32d0d49397cad38d62472b0bc8acff48dd6
Comment 5 Hermann Mucke 2015-04-20 06:15:09 UTC
Confirm that this document now opens w/o prompting for PW (LO 4.4.2.2./Win7). It has no r/o notice and can be edited.
Comment 6 Hermann Mucke 2015-04-20 06:17:29 UTC
Set status = resolved; no more problems for me with current Writer version

Since there is no specific commit fixing this issue, setting to WORKSFORME. FIXED is used only when a commit exists.
