Created attachment 72903 [details] Same problem with Jamrul_Bengali_U_0982 I don't have Chinese fonts, but I can confirm the bug under Debian GNU/Linux 64, KDE, LiBo 4.0.0RC1 using Jamrul font, Bengali subset and i.e. U+0982 character (just select a large one to see the bug)
The worst of these problems were addressed by http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?h=libreoffice-4-0&id=b43bd72c7d81b58c5f58a5c29fab7982878b5f63 so it should look better now. There is still scope for improvement though.
Caolan McNamara committed a patch related to this issue. It has been pushed to "master": http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=eb1c8080016ee3d788a2eca6cbc6ba42ff7d362f Resolves: fdo#59246 shrink font to fit available width The patch should be included in the daily builds available at http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours. More information about daily builds can be found at: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Testing_Daily_Builds Affected users are encouraged to test the fix and report feedback.
I think the major problem is already improved in 4-0, and the above should sort of the remaining edge cases.
