Working on "Bug 35081 - Remove IIT-M Mirror for Indian IPs or Allow Selection of Mirrors" due to my to do list I tried a.m. Link and tested it. Link shows 4 mirrors in Germany: Found 4 mirrors which handle this country (DE): http://ftp.rz.tu-bs.de/pub/mirror/tdf/tdf-pub/libreoffice/stable/3.5.7 (de, prio 100) http://ftp.wh2.tu-dresden.de/pub/mirrors/tdf/libreoffice/stable/3.5.7 (de, prio 100) http://mirror.informatik.uni-mannheim.de/pub/mirrors/tdf/libreoffice/stable/3.5.7 (de, prio 100) http://artfiles.org/documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/stable/3.5.7 (de, prio 100) That is very incomplete, see <http://download.documentfoundation.org/mirrors/all.html>, what IMHO also is generated automatically. And <http://artfiles.org/documentfoundation.org/> offers LibO 3.5.7 So we should check: Is that mirrorbrain function not recommended or is there a malfunction in mirrorbrain?
What is the exact link you are referring to? I don't get it from the context. I tried it with a random link out of stable/3.5.7 and it returned about 16 mirrors in DE, which sounds sane.

@Marc (In reply to comment #2): I can't even tell whether there is a bug at all. I only see that mirrorbrain list <http://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/stable/3.6.5/.mirrorlist> show much less mirrors than I know and than shown on <http://download.documentfoundation.org/mirrors/all.html> and reported this fact here. An expert has to decide whether might indicate a problem or whether that's expected or whatever else. I found this link somewhere here in an other bug (forgot where) and I don't know what the exact function is. Because I currently do not see any mirror problems I close this Bug for now
It's not a bug. There are mirrors who only serve their country, ASN/netblock or continent/region. Those are then not listed on the mirror list on purpose.
